About Hexabench
Hexabench is a free suite of 60+ developer utilities built around one principle: your data should never have to leave your machine just to use a simple tool.
Most online tools upload your input to a server for processing. That is a real problem when the input is a JWT from your production environment, a Parquet extract of customer data, or an internal SQL schema. Hexabench takes the opposite approach: the large majority of tools process files and tokens locally in your browser using WebAssembly — including a full in-browser DuckDB engine for querying Parquet, CSV, and JSON files with SQL. A few formats that can't be parsed in a browser (like Excel and ORC) use a lightweight backend step instead — see the Privacy Policy for exactly which tools that applies to.
The suite is built for data engineers, backend developers, DevOps engineers, and QA — with particular depth in big-data formats that most tool sites ignore: Parquet, Avro, ORC, Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, and Kafka wire formats.
A handful of advanced features (like AI-assisted Spark log analysis) use a backend service — those are clearly marked, and everything else runs entirely client-side. Read more in our privacy policy.
Hexabench is free to use, requires no sign-up, and adds no watermarks or limits. If it saves you time, sharing it with a colleague is all we ask.
